Good video on Facebook from The Ready State on why we don’t want to squat or move with our feet pointed out as a general rule. Almost all of us struggle with this when first learning to squat. Not only are you losing power and putting yourself in compromising position for injury, but it does not translate well to other activities. If you need to point your feet out to perform a proper squat, then you really should stop and address why that is. Most of the time this can be solved by backing off the weight a little and addressing your hip and/or ankle mobility limitations. Happy squatting!
